• Create new technical solutions through accelerated technology development, whilst risk is reduced through a phased development programme;
• Provide applicants with a transparent, competitive and reliable source of early-stage funding;
• Foster a culture of innovative amongst public servants.

SBIR Guidelines for the Public Sector

To date SBIR Ireland has launched two competitive calls to the public sector and 20 Challenges were approved for funding. Challenge themes include rural transport, Assisted Digital for Government, engaging unheard voices in communities and diabetes prevention.
