Data protection notice to service users

From time to time in the course of its operations (including the exercise of public and statutory functions), Enterprise Ireland may need to process personal data relating to persons who avail of its services and/or have other dealings with Enterprise Ireland (including, for example, contact details such as name, address and telephone number, curriculum vitae, etc).  Such data may be processed for the purposes of complying with our obligations to you under any agreement, such as a grant agreement and/or enforcing our rights under such agreements, and for other purposes which are incidental to our dealings with you.  All processing is carried out in compliance with applicable law including the Data Protection Acts (DPA) 1988 and 2003.

Where relevant, data may also be transferred to our overseas offices including to offices outside of the European Economic Area.  Enterprise Ireland may also share your data with other government agencies to the extent relevant for the purposes of dealing with you. 

The DPA imposes obligations to keep personal data up to date.  To help us comply with this obligation, you should notify us of any change of address, phone number or other details, either by contacting your Enterprise Ireland Development Adviser or by emailing:

Individuals have the right to ask for a copy of any personal data held about them (for which a small fee may be levied) and to correct any inaccuracies in such data.
 
Please note that Enterprise Ireland and/or third parties carefully selected by Enterprise Ireland may contact you with information on and/or offers of products or services which may be of interest to you.  Such contact may be made by means of post, email or phone in accordance with any preferences which you have expressed.

Where such contact is made, you will be given an option to indicate if you do not wish to receive such future contacts.
