Terence O'Rourke
ChairmanTerence O'Rourke was appointed Chairman of Enterprise Ireland on August 1, 2013 by the Minister for Jobs, Enterprise and Innovation. He is a Chartered Accountant from Inniskeen, Co Monaghan and was educated at Castleknock College and University College Dublin.
Terence started his career with KPMG in 1975, became a partner in 1988 and was Managing Partner KPMG Ireland from 2006 up to his retirement in April 2013. During his time in KPMG Terence worked in Peat Marwick Boston (1979-1981), was Chairman of the Leinster Society of Chartered Accountants (1990-1991), President of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in Ireland (2004-2005) and a member of the Global Board, EMA Board and Global Executive Team of KPMG International (2006-2013).
His current directorships include The Irish Times Ltd and the Chartered Accountants Regulatory Board. Terence is also a Council member of the Irish Management Institute and the Dublin Theatre Festival and an advisor to Women’s Executive Network.
