Wyeth Nutrition supplies infant and maternal nutrition products to markets around the globe from its world class factory in Askeaton, Co. Limerick.
The Wyeth Nutrition plant in Ireland uses a significant quantity of locally produced high quality dairy ingredients in the manufacture of a broad range of infant and maternal nutrition products. Annual output from the factory exceeds 40,000 tonnes and over 75% is exported outside the EU with significant markets in Asia, the Middle East & Africa.
The Wyeth Nutrition global portfolio of products satisfies a diverse range of nutritional requirements for infants and young children and includes well-known brands such as SMA, S-26, Progress, Promil and Illuma. The Askeaton factory produces formula in both powder and ready-to-feed liquid formats.
The factory has a 600-strong experienced and dedicated workforce with deeply-embedded knowledge of the business. Co-located with the factory is an R&D centre which supports the global Wyeth Nutrition business. A dedicated team of scientists and technologists work on a broad portfolio of R&D projects aimed at supporting the growth and development of formula-fed infants and to provide nutritional supplementation of weaning and toddler diets.
In 2012, Wyeth Nutrition became part of Nestlé, the largest Nutrition, Health and Wellness company in the world.
